Charan Points Out Supreme Court Ruling

Ram Charan For Uyyalawada Development

Not only mega fans but also movie lovers are waiting to enjoy the grandstanding of Mega Star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which is slated for a spectacular release on October 2nd.

The film's first look, teaser, and trailer generated tremendous interest. However many got shocked with the descendants of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy demanding financial assistance from the filmmakers for making a film on the freedom fighter after getting information from them.

They accused Ram Charan and mega family members of going back on the promise. They even protested in front of Chiranjeevi's house and office.

Ram Charan who is producing the film, has finally reacted to the controversy. Speaking about it, he paid floral tributes saying he does not want to belittle the stature of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy confining himself to just Uyyalawada. He said Narasimha Reddy is India's freedom fighter.

Reacting to the allegations, he pointed out that the Supreme Court already passed a ruling that anyone can make a film on any person after 100 years of their death as it becomes history. He pointed out that the Supreme Court passed this judgment with regards to Bollywood film- Mangal Pandey, a biopic on freedom fighter Mangal Pandey.

He made clear that he will not help the descendants and promised to work for the overall development of Uyyalawada village.
