Taapsee Tried To Target Kabir Singh

Taapsee draws ire for her post

Ever since the sensation of Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh, which is a remake of Tollywood hit Arjun Reddy, director Sandeep Reddy has been blasted from all quarters for his misogynistic film.

Sandeep Reddy’s comments justifying the scenes saying, “When you are deeply in love and deeply connected to a woman (and vice versa), if you don’t have the liberty of slapping each other, then I don’t see any point there,” did not go down well with other celebs.

Already Samantha, Chinmayi Sripada and others attacked Sandeep for the same. However Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli came in support of him.

In the meantime, Taapsee who is doing female oriented films in B-Town jumped the gun and tried to target Sandeep by reacting to an incident in which a man smashed his 19-year-old girlfriend’s head on suspicion of her ‘character’ in Maharashtra.

She posted, “Or maybe let’s just say they were madly in love with each other n this ‘act’ was to validate his TRUE love for her.” and added “Statutory warning: people with no sense of sarcasm kindly ignore me n my tweet. Thank you, it was nice not knowing you.”

Netizens did not take her lightly and attacked her for the insensitivity. One pointed, “You get offended by comments without realising that it was your lame comment on someone’s death which gave others a chance to poke you....sarcasm looks good when its witty not on someone’s death news ....you can apologise ....P.S. I am one of your fan!!” Other even branded her as a cheap actor and her mental state was not alright. Tapsee took them on saying “Ok sir. When are you giving me therapy sessions?? And in the bargain also tell how to become an ‘expensive’ actor. Inflation toh mere mein bhi hona chahiye na.”

But few others supported Taapsee and Rakul Preet Singh too lauded Taapsee for her boldness.
