Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga is showing its power at the box office. The film already crossed 70 crs in just three days at the box office and is going strong.
However, Bollywood critics and media has been blasting the film and the filmmakers for portraying women in an insulting manner. As Kabir Singh is the remake of Tollywood film Arjun Reddy, they are making fun of and insulting the tastes of South movie makers and viewers.
Though Shahid Kapoor is countering them and even south movie lovers, Sandeep Reddy is remaining silent avoiding undue controversy. He feels film's collections is enough to shut the mouths of the critics.
Despite the negative publicity, Kabir Singh is doing well even despite competition from Hollywood film like Toy Story. Some say this is not new for Bollywood people who bully south hits. This happened when few branded a scene in Rajamouli's Baahubali as Rape of Avantika.
They conveniently forgot the facts that Kabir Singh has A certificate and many Bollywood U certificate films have many obscene scenes and abusive dialogues than Kabir Singh which the same media and critics enjoy without any fuss.
It’s better not to talk about B grade films and many adult comedies in B-town which objectify and demeans women completely!
