Nepotism in film industry always became the topic for discussion. While those who came from the filmi background and star kids say their family background may help in getting the initial break through, if they do not perform well, movie lovers reject even them.
Others who come from non filmi background accuse the star kids of robbing their opportunities. Actresses like Kangana Ranaut often accused stars like Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar of nepotism and even media of promoting nepotism.

Hot Hunk Rana who is doing different genre roles, came with a daring take on nepotism attack. He said those coming from the filmi background come well versed with the nitti gritties of the filmmaking and so one cannot attack them of nepotism but they should hail them for their experience.
He said no film school produces great filmmakers and filmmakers evolve by their skills. He added he is aware of the trade well as his father is a producer, mother ran a film laboratory and his uncle Venkatesh is an actor.
