Late Kodi Ramakrishna came with many blockbusters with top stars during his hay days. Once during his interaction with scribes, he revealed how Mahesh Babu climbed a tree. It is known that Mahesh made his debut as a child artist in his dad super star Krishna's film Poratam in 1983. He played the role of Krishna's brother in the film.
Speaking about the incident, Kodi Ramakrishna said, “Mahesh used to come to the sets of Poratam. He was very young at that time. I felt that Mahesh would suit the role of Krishna's young brother. I requested, ‘Krishna garu... We will cast Mahesh in the role of your brother’ Krishna with a smile remarked, 'if that so... he will not listen to anyone and will not agree to anyone. You can try if you want to'. I agreed for it.
During that time Mahesh was playing near a tree. When I asked 'son… would you like to star in the film?' He said 'No'. When asked 'why?', he surprised saying, 'We should be careful about films. I am watching my father'.
'I tried convincing him saying 'your role will be good'. Mahesh shocked me saying, 'I won't do… I won't do' and climbed the tree. I told him, 'you have the face of your dad.
