Mass Raja Raviteja who is known for his bundles of energy, witty acts and mass mannerisms is not seen on screen following a string of flops at the box office. With four consecutive flops, question marks are raised over his career.
He signed a film titled Disco Raja under the direction of VI Anand of Ekkadiki Potavu Chinna Vaada and Okka Kshanam fame. The crazy title and presence of hotties like Payal Rajput and Nabha Natesh excited fans and movie lovers. The reports of Raviteja undergoing transformation and sporting a new look hitting the gym to gain weight interested all.
A source also revealed that, “Raviteja does not want to sport a wig, so he’s taking his time to grow his hair naturally. It’ll be a complete makeover for him. Raviteja will sport multiple looks in his role which features him starting from 1980s till the current era."
But now much to the shock of all, it is coming out that Disco Raja is kept on hold. An insider revealed, “The makers have made a few changes in the script to reduce the film’s budget, and that has irked Raviteja. Consequently, the shoot has been put on hold and nobody knows when it might resume”.
The makers planned a budget of Rs 40crs and they decided to cut down to 30crs by doing away with the songs and settle for low end graphics. But Raviteja is unhappy with it. Source further stated, “Raviteja particularly wants songs as he needs to uphold his reputation as the Mass Maharaja. Unfortunately, his requirements don’t fit the producer’s budget.”
Another rumor is Disco Raja has many similarities to Samantha's Oh Baby with director Nandini Reddy.
