People across united Andhra Pradesh were immensely distressed with Chandrababu Naidu led TDP government's unilateral decisions between the years 1999 and 2004. As a result, they defeated the party in 2004 and 2009's general elections.
TDP could have recorded a hat-trick failures with the defeat of 2014's general elections. But then, Janasena Chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan saved the sinking ship extending his support apart from BJP. Eventually, TDP could get 46% vote share forming the grand alliance with Janasena and BJP.
Once again, TDP committed the same blunders in administration post 2014 as it had committed two decades ago. Besides, most of the TDP leaders are facing the allegations various scams like sand mafia, land mafia, liquor mafia, call money racket.
Having got survey reports on TDP's eroding charisma among the people, Janasena and BJP broke their alliances with the TDP while CPI, CPM, BSP and TRS parties paid no heed of TDP's desperate attempts of alliances.
As the reports are coming that Janasena would be getting a minimum of 70 MLA seats, TDP, which is expected to win in 20 MLA constituencies, is gravely trying for after poll alliance with the Janasena. If at all, TDP is inducted into Janasena government, Nara Lokesh can be made an IT minister again. Correcting his previous blunders and doing some good to the society under Pawan Kalyan's guidance, can make Nara Lokesh building up image and which may pave the way for better prospects of TDP in general elections, 2024.
Considering and consolidating all these political developments, a top media baron has reportedly directed CBN to form a tie up with Janasena even if the JSP crosses the magic mark 88.
But then, if Pawan Kalyan denies TDP's alliance subject to the condition that JSP would get a majority, TDP might face life time troubles. CBN will be 75 year old and he will no more be considered a CM candidate in 2024. On the other hand, Nara Lokesh is being treated as a laughing stock and the same image maybe continued. As such, Lokesh won't be a right fit to be the CM candidate for 2024's elections.
It remains to be seen what's the take of Chandrababu Naidu to give life to his party.
