Annapurna International School for Film and Media announced the “Annapurna scholarship” of Rs 100,000/- to the most deserving applicant of Master’s program in film and media at AISFM, to encourage talented young women to join the media and entertainment industry and to bridge the gender gap. AISFM has announced this scholarship on occasion of “International Women’s Day”.
Ms Amala Akkineni announced the scholarship and said this step will take us closer to our vision of “educate young people with talent for careers in film and media”. This scholarship will be awarded to the most talented, creative and inquisitive young woman.
In the Season 2 - ‘SHEINSPIRES’ contest aims to recognize women who beat challenges in their lives to create a space for themselves across the spectrum. Out of the 62 nominations received, selecting 5 was a herculean task for the jury. This Annual award was initiated last year and symbolizes ordinary women who conquer challenges, proving they are extraordinary.
In a celebration of woman for her achivements and potential , organised by AISFM, during the keynote speech by Amala Akkineni, celebrated actor, philanthropist, educationist, she said that ‘Being a WOMAN is her Super Power’.
The fun-filled event also featured sessions on various topics like “Holistic Living” by Ms Sridevi Jasti, MD Vibrant living foods ; There is no better empowerment than financial empowerment and hence a session on ” Financial empowerment” by Ms Sushma , CFO Annapurna Studios and a session on “ Little things – big impact“ by RJ Manasa , Fever FM.
In her key note address to a packed audience at the Annapurna International School for Film and Media Amala highlighted –that the ‘Digital Era’ is an exciting phase for everyone , especially for the women – to elevate her professionally, financially, and nurture new career possibilities. Media and entertainment industry, given its sky-high growth potential, has a constant demand for talented, creative, hardworking, multi-tasking individuals and I invite creative young women to walk on this creative path and make a mark of their own.
The celebration culminated with the Award ceremony, with awards given away by Amala Akkineni. Congratulating the winners she said the award reinforced the message that every woman deserves a chance to work, succeed and continue to inspire.
