Tollywood’s lovely Jodi Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are working together for the first time after their marriage for period romantic drama Majili, though they previously worked together for three films before their wedding. The film’s posters and teaser got overwhelming response and it is now one of the highly anticipating films.
Chay and Sam Jodi has now set digital records. Their Majili digital rights were sold for staggering price. While Gemini TV, part of Sun Network has bought satellite rights for Rs 5 crores, Amazon Prime Video has acquired streaming rights for Rs 3.5 crores.
What’s more, Hindi dubbing rights of the film were sold for whopping Rs 4.5 Crores. So, the total tally of digital rights alone is 12.5 crores which is close to the full investment of producers on the film.
There is huge demand for theatrical rights as well. The film will surely make highest theatrical business in Chay’s career. Apparently, buyers want to capitalize on craze over the project that features real time couple.
Directed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame, Majili is scheduled for release on April 5th.
