Satires are also coming that extravagant sets are the reason behind increasing budgets and films becoming cost failure. However directors are insisting on lavish settings for extravagance in every frame

Many incidents prove that set directors and producers are becoming cleverer with each passing second. Buzz is even before the extravagant sets erection, they are ready with dual revenue return plan.
In olden days, makers used to demolish sets after shooting of their films. Of late filmmakers are retaining the sets and if the same are given for TV shootings, serials and other film shoots, they are getting huge money in form of royalties, rents and shares.

Gandharva Mahal set erected for Mohan Babu's Uu Kodatara Uliki Padatara was used for many other films shootings and they got good returns. Sources say controversy erupted when Bellamkonda used the same set and did not pay the rent. Manam set was used for Soggade Chinni Nayana and also for Sushant's films. When the set caught fire, the makers got good amount in form of insurance. Even Rangasthalam set is giving good returns.
Currently ETV Swarabhishekam is suing Bigg Boss season 2 set and apart form it various film shoots are planned in the set. The makers feel that if they erect London, British locations and few more foreign locations sets then they can get a lot in return along with the tourism department.
