Star Director Didn’t Like Sets, Cancels Shoot

Shankar's Bharateeyudu delayed by graphics

Shankar is known for his powerful message oriented films like Gentleman, Indian, Oke Okkadu, Amarichitudu, Sivaji, 2.0 etc. He is now getting ready for the sequel for his blockbuster film Indian (Bharateeyudu) with Kamal Haasan.

Apparently, Bharateeyudu sequel is haunted by special effects and graphic ghosts. Many feel though Shankar is known for his powerful films just like Maniratnam’s, his penchant for visual extravaganza and lavishness are affecting his films as he is not concentrating on the stories of late.

This was proven with the results of his films I and 2.0. This is similar to Tollywood's Gunasekhar who for all his talent failed to score hits as he is concentrating on visual grandiose rather on story, screenplay and emotions. This is unlike Rajamouli who gives importance to all NavRasas before going for visual effects.
