It I a known fact that, Teja was the original choice to direct Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dream project NTR Biopic. However, when Balakrishna pressurized him to wrap up the film in brisk pace, he walked out it even before the shoot began. Then, Krish was roped in to direct the ambitious project of Nandamuri family.
Krish made the film as two parts- NTR Kathanayakudu which highlights NTR’s film career and NTR Kathanayakudu that focuses on NTR’s political journey. Much to the shock of Balakrishna, NTR Kathanayakudu released during Sankranthi has turned out as one of the biggest disasters. Currently, the team is busy with post-production works of NTR Mahanayakudu which is slated for release on 14th or 15th of February.
Curiously, Teja who was the first choice for the film hasn’t yet watched it. The director said, “Since I didn’t get time owing to busy schedules shooting for my ongoing venture, I couldn’t watch NTR Biopic. Had I watched the film, I would have definitely commented on it.” About the common feedback of NTR Kathanayakudu lacked emotions and drama, Teja reacted, “It depends on how director dealt it.”
Currently, Teja is busy wrapping up Sita starring Bellamkonda Srinivas and Kajal Agarwal.
