Temper will remain to be a memorable movie for young tiger. Although the Puri Jagannadh directed film won critical acclaims, it could not reach 50 cr share mark. However, NTR later entered 50 cr share and 100 cr gross club with films like Nannaku Prematho, Janatha Garage, Jai Lava Kusa and Aravinda Sametha. But, it was Temper which provided him the much needed break.
Bad time release, poor planning from makers and NTR flop streak was the reason behind Temper failing to become a blockbuster. As is known, NTR won several awards for the film and he was lauded for delivering one of the best performances.
Interestingly, Temper’s Hindi remake Simmba starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Rohit Shetty continues to dominate the box office. Going by its performance, it seems the film won’t slow down anytime soon. Simmba which also has no competition at the box office this week has already crossed 100 cr mark.
In fact, Ranveer’s performance was no reach to NTR’s in Temper. However, many factors favored Simmba to become a blockbuster. Apparently, the film will enter 300 cr club in its life time run.
