NTR India's 1st Superstar? Controversy!

Is NTR India's First Superstar?

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR film's theatrical trailer was released during the audio launch event of the film held on Friday night. Even though the trailer is impressing with various get ups played by Balakrishna, there is a quote that embroiled controversy.

In the trailer, the makers claimed NTR as the India's first superstar. But then, according to official reports of then media, authors and BBC News, Bollywood hero Rajesh Khanna was treated as the first superstar of India and he was later replaced by Big B Amitabh Bachchan.

"Even if NTR film makers claim seniority as the basis of the first superstar title, then NTR would become the third superstar of Tollywood next to Padma Sri Chittooru V Nagaiah and Padma Vibhushan Akkineni Nageswara Rao. So in either ways, NTR can't be claimed as the first superstar of India. Of course, for fans point of view, NTR can be treated the world's first superstar," says an analyst.

"If at all NTR had been directed by any ordinary director, such kind of extreme flattery can be spared. But then, he is lauded one of the passionate directors of Tollywood. As such, he should be careful in every minute aspect of movie making," the analyst advised Krish.
