Savyasachi Dared To Hurt Hindus Sentiments!

Telugu Films Hurting Hindus in the name of humor

People watch movies for entertainment or enlightenment. Now a days one cannot expect films that enlighten viewers. So, many go to films just for entertainment. Unlike in the olden days where one used to have healthy and hilarious comedy scenes which entire family and all sections of people enjoy, now many comedy scenes are hurting at least one section of people.

Most of the times people hurt the sentiments by creating comedy on a person's features, accent, regional affiliation. Tollywood makers used to show Rayalaseema people as blood thirsty villains, Telangana and Coastal Andhra people as comedians. They used to make fun of their culture, food habits and accent, way of talking and other practices. Sometimes even caste, creed and religious feelings are also been made fun of.

But what came as a shocker is most of the filmmakers are taking Hindus for granted. In many films mythological characters are shown as a bunch of jokers. In the recent release Savyasachi, the makers made fun of Mahabharata characters Krishna, Balarama, Arjuna, Subhadra using double meaning dialogues.

This is not the first time or will be the last time the makers committed or will commit the blunder. This because they have taken for granted that whatever they show, Hindus are spineless and will pass through the censor board. Wonder whether they will ever dare to do the same with other religions.

In Attarintiki Daaredi, Brahmanandam, Pawan Kalyan, Ali, Samantha made fun of Sage Gautama, his wife Ahalya and Indra with double meaning dialogues. In many films the makers showed Narada, Krishna, Rama and others in a derogatory manner.

Even earlier in many films Brahmanandam was seen making fun of Hindu mythological characters. What is surprising is despite most of those scenes which insulted or made fun of Hindu mythological characters failed to attract movie lovers, the makers are still persisting with the same in the name of attracting masses.

Unless until, the filmmakers realize that even masses don’t approve them of making fun of mythological characters in the name of entertainment, or movie lovers make them realize that they don’t approve of such derogatory and insulting scenes, these scenes of insulting Hindus will continue unabated in the name of entertaining masses.
