It is a common practice that kind hearted people and philanthropists send their donations to Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) and Prime Minister Relief Fund (PMRF) in case when natural disasters hit the areas and throw the people in dismay.
Though ruling parties of some states of India work honestly and spend every single rupee of CMRF for the victims of natural disasters, a few states like Andhra Pradesh, which stood at top rank in the corruption as per the survey of some authoritative agencies, may not expend the donations properly. The donors are suspecting if their contributions are reaching right people. In case the funds donated by them can't be utilised by the needy people, the charity shown by the donors is merely wasted.
Sensing the threat of sending their donations to CMRF, some Tollywood heroes have decided to offer their donations to the needy people directly. As a result hero Nikhil Siddharth ensured food, water packets and blankets were distributed to the deserved people and he, himself, supervized in the charitable work.
Stylish Star Allu Arjun, who pledged to donate Rs.25 laksh to Titli flood victims, will be distributing the funds directly to the needy people. Needless to say, the kind of efforts put in by Janasena chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan to bring light the woes of Titli victims and Srikakulam. Having been taken a call from Power Star, Mega Power Star Ram Charan has decided to adopt a village and would start charitable activities extensively.
The AP government needs to recheck what went wrong in losing faith among the generous people who decided to take part in social service activities directly without sending their donations to CMRF.
