Penchal Das was not a known person before the release of Nani starred Krishnarjuna Yuddham audio album. The song Dari Choodu penned and crooned by the folk singer-cum-writer was a sensational hit. Besides penning the lyrics, Penchal Das had also helped director Merlapaka Gandhi to write dialogues of the film in Rayalaseema dialect.
Actually, Gandhi’s father introduced this talented folk singer to his son who gave him the chance with Krishnarjuna Yuddham. When director Trivikram Srinivas was planning a Rayalaseema faction backdrop film, he without second thought hired Penchal Das to help him in converting his version of dialogues into Seema slang.
Post release of Trivikram’s latest directorial Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava starring NTR, Penchal Das is winning accolades for his work. As is known, Penchal Das also penned lyrics for few songs in the film. One amongst them is Reddamma Talli which wasn’t included in audio album.
They have finally released the heartbreaking Reddamma Talli song that comes at pre-climax with continuous request from movie buffs and NTR fans. The situational song indeed took the crucial scene to the next level.
Meanwhile, Penchal Das has become a trainer for filmmakers who want to make films in Rayalaseema backdrop.
