Puratchi Thalaivi Jayalalithaa's tragic and sudden demise due to heart attack left a void in Tamil Nadu politics. Tamil Nadu is not having any leader of her stature and with Karunanidhi’s demise in August; the people of the state are looking for alternatives.
Everyone got excited when Universal Star Kamal Haasan and Super Star Rajinikanth announced their arrival into politics. While Kamal already announced his party name, he is yet to enter into full length politics. Rajini is yet to announce and launch his party.
There is no sign of either Kamal or Rajini entering into full length politics at least before the 2019 elections. Kamal is all set to star in the sequel of Bhaarateeyudu under Shankar's direction. Kamal is also readying to come up with the sequel for his hit film Kshatriya Putrudu. It is not clear when Kamal will enter full length politics.
Many expected Rajini to quit films after Kala. However Rajini is already completing Petta with Karthik Subbaraj and is readying for his next with Murugadoss. Now many are wondering when they will get ready for the next assembly elections and if they are so keen on continuing in films, why they entered politics and how sincere they are in serving the people.
