Some days ago, it was rumoured that King Nagarjuna and Natural Star Nani's multi-starrer had been a freemake of Bollywood hit film Johnny Gabbar. Director Sriram Aditya, quashed those speculations through his tweet and made it clear that an original script had been penned for the project.
However, post the release of the film's trailer, netizens have again come up with an argument that the film had been a copy of Hollywood film 'Analyze This'. They alleged that Nagarjuna's role in Devadas had lot many similarities with Robert De Niro's role in Analyze This, while Nani's character resembled Billy Crystal's role. Netizens further went on tagging above poster and circulated it on net. It remains to be seen how could the director defend himself with the latest allegations on the film's script.
On the other hand, it's being felt by many movie analysts that one shouldn't come to any conclusion just after watching theatrical trailer of the film. It'd have been better, had they made any complaints on the script of the film after watching full movie.
Devadas has Rashmika Mandanna and Aakanksha Singh in lead actresses roles. The movie was produced by Aswini Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies. September 27 is the scheduled date of release.
