The Telugu Desham Party, which appeared to have lost its grounds in Telangana. is planning to ally with its life time rival Congress party so as to be comforted in the poll battle. Of course, Congress party which is expected to be the one and only opposition force to compete with TRS in Telangana, also wants to form an alliance with the TDP seeking the double benefit in Telangana and AP in the upcoming poll battles.
Until KCR dissolved the government, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan was thought not to be contesting in Telangana polls. However, Pawan Kalyan took a brave decision of contesting the polls and Janasena has already started its activities such as membership drives and forming coordination bodies at state and district levels.
Pawan Kalyan's decision has come as a huge jolt to TDP's strategy. As we all know, CPI, CPM, Lok Satta and BSP are interested to form tie ups with Janasena in AP general polls battle. If at all, these parties contest together in Telangana polls, it would be a huge shocker to TDP. Especially, communist parties have strong hold in Khammam and a few other districts. If Janasena shows considerable impact in the poll battle, needless to say, TDP-Congress combo would face hardships. However, whether or not Janasena alliance shows impact on TRS party will be known only in near future.
