Shaurya, Chaitu Is Not A Small Hero?

Naga Shaurya risking with Nartanasala

Naga Shaurya is carving a niche for himself among the young heroes in Tollywood. Though he faced some highs and lows at the start of his career, he scored a hit with Chalo. His family dared taking a huge risk by producing this film on their own banner though he was reeling under string of flops at that time.

Their risk got them huge benefits as the film made with Rs 5-6 crs budget grossed more than double the investment surprising everyone. This became the biggest hit in his career. Buoyed with the success, Naga Shaurya’s next At Nartanasala is also made under his own banner.

Shaurya surprised all saying that the film’s budget was Rs 15crs. None expected Chalo to become such a big hit but every time miracles will not happen. After Chalo, Naga Shaurya’s two films Kanam and Ammammagarillu turned out to be flops. Though one can exclude Kanam as it is a female oriented film and Naga Shaurya did only support role, Ammammagarillu didn’t get even a share of Rs 3crs.

Considering this, it is a huge risk investing Rs 15crs on At Nartanasala. There is no guarantee that the film recovers the investment even if it gets a positive talk. It is known that, there was no competition during Chalo release. But, At Nartanasala is facing stiff competition from films like Saialaja Reddy Alludu. Many are wondering whether Chalo success made Naga Shaurya headstrong.

One thing Shaurya should remember that, Naga Chaitanya is not a small hero and competing with Sailaja Reddy directed by Maruthi is a huge risk, opine analysts.
