Thespian late Akkineni Nageswara Rao's most memorable industry hit Devadas earned him great fame. Although many actors were seen as protagonists in Sharath Chandra Chatterfi's Devdas, it was only ANR who was lauded the best performer in the role. Of course, ANR lived in the role wherein a youth failed in love character.
As of now, ANR's son King Nagarjuna hasn't made use of his late father's film title for his films. Finally, he broke the ice! Yes, Nagarjuna's upcoming multi-starrer's title has been confirmed as Devadas. Natural Star Nani will be seen as his co-star in the movie.
Above title reads as Devadas on a medical prescription from Shanthabhai Memorial Charity Hospital. Stethoscope is shown to indicate that Nani would be portraying a doctor's role while the revolver at the bottom of the prescription hints us that Nag plays don. As such, it can be assumed that Nag would be seen as a crime Devadas unlike his dad's getup in 1953's Devadas.
Sriram Aditya, who handled crime comedies Bhale Manchi Roju and Shamanthakamani sensibly, is wielding megaphone for this crazy project. Senior producer Aswini Dutt, who is riding high on the blockbuster of Mahanati, is producing the movie. Let's wait for more updates of the project.
