When ace director Shankar teamed up with Superstar Rajinikanth for 2.0, sequel to their blockbuster film Robot, many passed the verdict that the film will break the records of Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali. Analysts felt that the star-studded cast of Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay kumar will wow everyone doing wonders across the world as it happened to be Asia’s most expensive film.
However the exciting wait of fans quickly turned out to be the most painful and disappointment, as the film’s release got postponed number of times and according to the latest, it got postponed indefinitely. In the midst of all this, shocking revelations are coming out that Shankar completely failed with his decisions for Rajini’s 2.0.
Inside talk is 2.0 budget was just Rs 65crs and it increased to Rs 90crs due to special effects. But sources reveal that the budget now increased to 160crs which the makers feel it is impossible to recover.
Source went on to add that the film was shot with an expensive camera with the crew not doing their homework. Buzz is even the American FX company, to which the film was sent for post production got messed up which resulted in huge loss of time and money. He said the budged flared up to Rs 160 crs.
