Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala has turned yet another nightmare for Telugu film exhibitors. The movie's theatrical rights were valued to Rs.33 crores. However, the final tally of collections may end up somewhere between Rs.8 crores and Rs.10 crores.
Apparently, Kaala's disaster has done a huge damage to Rajini's upcoming projects one under Karthik Subbaraju's directorial while the other one is Shankar's Sci-Fi entertainer Robo 2.
Having seen Kaala's miserable fate in Telugu states, the buyers who gave advances around Rs.20 crores are appealing the makers to return Rs.8 crores. The indefinite postponement of Robo 2 is another reason which is making Tollywood's buyers worried.
On the other hand, no buyer is aware of Rajini and Karthik Subbaraj's project. It seems buyers merely wrote this project off owing to not so interesting combo.
All in all, Rajini's fans pinned all of their hopes on Robo 2 as they still believe that Shankar and Rajini's combo would work miracles at the box office.
