Noted Telugu actor and producer Madala Ranga Rao breathed his last on the early hours of Sunday, on 27th of May at a private hospital while he was undergoing a treatment for his ailment. He was 71
Madala Ranga Rao was popularly called as Red Star for his revolutionary movies. He was associated with Communist Party of India and Prajanatya Mandali.
Madala Ranga Rao made his film debut with a satirical film Chairman Chalamaiah. Thereupon, he launched the banner Navataram Pictures and worked for the films such as Yuvataram Kadilindhi, Erra Mallelu, Maha Prasthanam, Praja Sakshyam, Veerabhadrudu and Erra Suryudu.
