Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam collected a share of Rs.120 crores as of now and is still running with good collections at the box office. Afterwards, Prince Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu was released on April 20 and carried super positive ratings and reports. BAN also got good collections at the box office.
But then, considering the performances of both the films at the ticket windows, Rangasthalam is showing clear domination over BAN in all areas. At the end of its first week's run, Rangasthalam collected Rs.81+ crores world wide share while BAN recorded Rs.71+ crores share in its first week's run.
Even after its first week's run, Rangasthalam got its steady run continued while a dip in collections is recorded with Bharat Ane Nenu. In spite of a weekend, BAN collected Rs.6.30 lakhs yesterday (Saturday) in Nellore area while it minted close to Rs.20 lakhs in Ceded sending alarming signals of possible losses. On Saturday, Rangasthalam collected Rs.8.26 lakhs in RTC X Roads while BAN accumulated Rs.4.90 lakhs indicating the downfall of BAN.
However, the makers of BAN along with hero, himself, have been going for aggressive promotions of the film for quite some time. The producer and distributors have revealed the collection numbers during the success meet to generate post release hype of the film. Since another big film of Tollywood, Stylish Star Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India is slated for release next week, it remains to be seen how well BAN gets the challenging situation confronted.
