Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam is running successfully and it is doing splendidly well in neighborhood states as well, where the release of Tamil films has been stopped due to the ongoing strike. Rangasthalam broke day one opening record in Chennai City for a Telugu movie and is continuing to perform well in the territory.
A decision of Telugu Producers Council will now affect Rangasthalam. Tollywood filmmakers have announced to take their films off the theatres in Tamil Nadu. Thus, the shows of Rangasthalam in the state will be stopped from Sunday, which means the film’s business in the state will come to end by this weekend.
It may be mentioned here that, the Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) strike to oppose the Virtual Print Fee (VPF) collected by Digital Service Providers (DSP) per film has been on for the last one month. Not even a single Tamil film was released in the meantime.
While Telugu and Kannada producers backed out, Tamil producers are continuing the strike.
