Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's MLA - Manchi Lakshanalukala Abbayi opened with encouraging reports. Moreover, the film generated some decent revenues in its first weekend run. On a whole, the film accumulated around Rs.10 crores share.
However, a drastic dip in collections of the film has been recorded in its second weekend's run. Since Rangasthalam was released and is carrying positive reports with record collections, obviously, MLA, that had run of the mill content in it, couldn't sustain at the box office.
Reportedly, MLA needs Rs.5 more crores to reach breakeven. Unless some aggressive post release promotions are planned, the film is unlikely to get a hit status.
MLA was directed by Upendra Madhav. Kajal Aggarwal has paired up with Kalyan Ram. Senior musician Manisharma has composed music of the film. The movie was made on Blue Planet Entertainments.
