The jailed AIADMK leader Sasikala's husband Natarajan passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 20 due to failure of multiple organs. Natarajan, who was 74, was admitted to Global Hospital, Chennai on March 16 due to severe chest infection.
"It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the sad demise of Natarajan Maruthappa at 1:30am. Every possible attempt was made to sustain his revival. However, despite our best efforts he was unable to recover," hospital authorities said.
It is a known news that Natarajan got his kidneys and liver transplanted in the month of October, 2017.
Natarajan actively participated in Anti Hindi movement in Tamil Nadu in his youth. He worked as a Public Relations Officer before. In connection with her husband's demise Sasikala applied for parole and is waiting for the nod of authorities to get necessary rituals done.
