It is a known news that union minister Arun Jaitley disapproved special category status to AP yesterday. Incidentally, he gave the same statement on 29th of July, 2016 on the floor of the parliament. Did you know, what did AP CM Chandrababu Naidu say then? He simply said that special package would be better than special status.
From then on, TDP has kept telling the people that special package was something like Sanjeevani to people. Besides, CBN warned people not to agitate for SCS if not they would be sent to jail.
Strangely, post the statement issued by Arun Jaitley yesterday, TDP took a crucial decision to quit from union government's ministerial body. Obviously, a question gets arisen what has prompted TDP to get its decision changed on BJP?
According to analysts, TDP could lose nothing if it had continued its tie up with BJP in 2016. As such, it continued alliance with BJP. However, if at all the party quits NDA now, it would gain sympathy from the public. Moreover, pro TDP media would work against BJP and would create sympathy factor on TDP.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if people would trust TDP for maintaining four years of friendship with BJP and with sudden rivalry with BJP when the general elections are fast approaching.
