Legendary heroine Sridevi, who emerged as the one and only lady superstar of India, bids adieu to the people across the nation leaving them in a state of immense distress.
Last rites began for Sridevi at the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium in Mumbai. She was wrapped in tricolour and her final journey was followed by lakhs of mourners who joggled with each other to catch a glimpse of her procession.
Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor took part in his wife's last rites and performed all the rituals suggested by priests. Also, the cremation was performed with all state honours for this recipient of Padma Sri award, the fourth highest civilion award of India.
Industrialist Anil Ambani, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anupam Kher, Arjun Rampal, Vidya Balan, her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, Farhan Akhtar, Dia Mirza and her husband Sahil Sangha were some of the celebs present at the crematorium, in addition to the close family members of Sridevi.
