Gundu Hanumantha Rao Passes Away

One of the famous comedy artists of Tollywood and TV serials, Gundu Hanumantha Rao is no more. He breathed his last on Monday, 19th of February, 2018 at his house in Hyderabad due to severe illness. 

Gundu Hanumantha Rao, aged at 61, was born on 10 October, 1956 in Vijayawada. He had been a stage drama artist prior to his entry to Telugu films. He made his debut in stage dramas at the age of 18.

Gundu Hanumantha Rao was first seen on silver screen in Jandhyal's blockbuster comedy entertainer Aha Naa Pellanta, released in 1987. Thereafter, Gundu enacted around 400 films which include Mayalodu, Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Pellaniki Premalekha Priruraliki Shubhalekha, Annamayya, Narasimhanaidu, Criminal,  Pekata Paparao and many others.

Gundu's popular role as Amudala Anjaneyulu/Anji in super hit television series Amrutham was greatly praised by TV viewers. He got three TV Nandi awards by the AP government. 

Cinejosh is saddened with the demise of this great comedy artist. Our heartfelt condolences to his family members. May his soul rest in peace!
