Injustice done to Andhra Pradesh state by the NDA government seems to have been stirred up the momentum by everyone in the state for various factors. Now that the BJP included no word on AP's special status, Polavaram funds allocation and Vizag railway zone in the annual budget, all political parties including common people are set to agitate a big time until BJP should announce special category status to AP.
Left parties have called for a state wide bandh on 8th of this month which was supported by AP Congress and YSR Congress parties. YCP's leader Vijayasai Reddy took a private bill for grant of special status to AP while KVP went to the well the other day and made slogans.
On the other hand, netizens have been expressing their concern over BJP's stand on AP in social media for quite some time. Having seen the protests against BJP from various corners, the TDP MPs also made some protests in parliament today. AP's intellectual forum's leader Chalasani Srinivas demanded Chandrababu Niadu to stage a dharna in front of PM Modi's house so that the big issue would be resolved.
Seeing all these ruckus by AP's political parties and people, will BJP get the things resolved and would announce special category status to AP? According to some political analysts, BJP may not wish to lose its grounds in AP taking a foolish decision not to support the state financially. They said BJP may announce special status to AP before general elections. They are also in a search of powerful leader to lead the party in the state. Whatever the politics are, everyone's ray of hope is the decision to be taken by Modi on AP's special status.
