It is a known news that a leading English daily published a controversial report on Padma Vibhushan award conferred to Maestro Ilayarana by the Government of India.The newspaper humiliated Ilayaraja politicizing the award mentioning Ilayaraja's caste.
Within no time after the newspaper hit the markets, there had been huge protests against the newspaper from the people. Eventually, the editor had to tender his apologies to Ilayaraja for publishing hatred news on him.
