In a major decision, the AP government has decided to include Kapu community into the list of OBCs and provided them 5% reservations. A new sub category BC (F) was created for them. The decision was taken post Manjunadha Commission submitted its survey report on Kapu Reservations. And today, a resolution on Kapu quota will be taken up by the assembly and would be sent to the union government through the governor of AP state.
Well, it appears all is well that ends well for Kapus. However,at this juncture, Kapu leaders, activists and even critics smell a rat on CBN's honesty on providing reservations to Kapus. Right away, after the announcement was made, BC leader Krishnaiah appeared in front of media and expressed his deep concern over the decision of the government. It's being felt CBN, himself, roped Krishnaiah on board to spoil the fray. Following are the future courses of action to be taken up by TDP as per Kapu leaders.
* BC leaders will file a petition against Kapu reservations in courts.
* According to Kapu activists, more than half of the judiciary belong to one particular caste and so they would impose a stay on Kapu reservations.
* Afterwards, pro TDP media would glorify Kapu-BC war. And this process will be continued until 2019's general elections.
* This is also said to be a plan of action to make BCs distanced from Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Janasena party.
