The AP government introduced biometric and Iris tabs in government offices and schools to take the attendance of its employees. The objective of the program could be ethical. The machines provided should have raised the consciousness on punctuality and disciple among the employees.
Sadly, the government is alleged to have other goals behind implementing this program. The government is buzzed to have given contracts to some private people who were said to be close to Nara Lokesh. These private contractors are gossiped to have supplied cheap quality biometic machines instead of machines with flagship models.
With their dismay, employees who are working at villages are struggling a lot to give their attendance through above devices due to server issues and network complaints. Wonder what the government has reportedly set a condition that if an employee doesn't get his attendance recorded on any day, the salary of the incumbent would be deducted on that day.
As usually, a Telugu newspaper, which is called a 'Thoka Patrika' by the opposition political party, slang mud on employees publishing cooked up stories on them and which irked the employees. Altogether, the government appeared to have turned a strong rival for AP employees due to biometric and Iris devices. It remains to be seen where do the rifts between AP government and employees lead to.
