It is a known news that Kanche Ilaiah's book on Arya Vysyas triggered huge controversy while Arya Vysyas have made ruckus demanding the governments to get the book banned.
In the meanwhile, senior journo from Telangana Sagarika Ghose asked Telangana minister KTR, if any measures were taken for Kancha Ilaiah's protection. "Dear @KTRTRS why no protection or security to @Kancha_ilaiah ? Agree disagree, zero tolerance for death threats pls!," she tweeted. "He can be taken to court, denounced at forums, argued, debated. But Govt & police must act swiftly on death threats & violence," she added.
However, KTR's response to her demand received great applause from his followers. He tweeted, "Freedom of expression doesn’t confer upon anyone the right to insult as they wish. If there is a threat perception, TS police will review it. No differing with you on the death threats but abuse of freedom of expression to deride, insult & target specific community is reprehensible".
