Super Star Rajinikanth and sensational director Shankar’s magnum opus 2.0 may be heading towards one more release postponement. As we know, the movie was first planned for Diwali release this year but later postponed to January 25th, 2018.
Buzz in Chennai trade circles says that the movie’s release date is further pushed to April 14th, 2018 and would be released as summer special. While the exact reasons behind delay are unknown, some say it’s the delay in post-production works forced makers to look for an alternate better release season like summer holidays.
However, none of the official sources from Lyca have confirmed this development. Being made with a whopping Rs. 400 Crores budget and regarded as costliest film ever made in the history of Indian cinema, obviously 2.0 needs a safe, strong and simultaneous release all over the world in different languages. 2.0 is seen as the only threat for Baahubali 2 in nearby coming days.
