The excitement has been ended. For the past couple of weeks AP's politics have been centred in Nandyal constituency. It was speculated that there would be neck and neck competition between the ruling TDP and the opposition party YSRCP.
Finally, the result is crystal clear. The TDP is inching towards an earth shattering victory with a lead of over 30,000 votes. And now, all eyes have shifted to Kakinada civic polls, which have been scheduled tomorrow.
Prior to the counting of Nandyal votes, the situation appeared to be perplexing in Kakinada. Since the majority of voters gave their verdict in favour of the ruling party in Nandyal, the same scenario maybe repeated in Kakinada. Especially, neutral voters, who have been scratching their heads to whom they vote for may prefer TDP in Kakinada polls. Besides, a total of 50 MLAs and ministers have already created an immense impact on the voters during their campaigning.
However, there is only one factor, which may stop TDP winning the battle and which is Kapu Reservation Movement led by Mudragada Padmanabham. Yet again, TDP appears to be the winner due to various other factors favouring them.
