Kakinada local body polls is the burning topic of Telugu states at the moment. Now that the polling day has been scheduled on 29th of this month, both the TDP and YSRCP have intensified their poll campaigns in the city.
As usually, the ruling party prefers injustifiable ways to dominate the fray. Firstly, huge money is poured in to buy the votes and for the expenses of the activists. Ever since the city was announced a 'Smart City' and a huge money was allocated for the development, the TDP and the municipal authorities ignored the city's development. On the other hand, YSRCP's leaders in media discussions are complainging that local TDP MLA Kondababu is resorting to blackmailing methods on the people. If any openings are done in the city, the MLA is gossiped to have collected money from the business people.
It is learnt that school children are made to stand on either sides of the roads under scorching heat during Chandrababu Naidu's campaigning. Above all, opposition party's Sakshi channel's programmes were stopped broadcasting by the cable operators to ensure only TDP's campaigning is telecasted by the yellow channels.
Wonder what, all of a sudden cleaning of roads and painting of traffic signals on roads, arranging LED lights and maintaining greenbelt on road dividers are being done on war foot basis for round the clock for the past one week in the city.
