Railway Minister Super Acting?

Why Late on Railway Minister's Resignation?

Has Indian railways gone of the tracks? Within four days after the Utkal train tragedy occurred, one more train in UP was derailed and this resulted in 100 passengers sustained with injuries. A total of nine coaches of the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh yesterday.

The train was travelling from Azamgarh to Delhi collided with a dumper at around 2:50 am between Pata and Achhalda railway stations.

"In less than three years as Minister, I have devoted my blood and sweat for the betterment of the Railways. Undr leadership of PM, tried 2 overcome decades of neglect thru systemic reforms in all areas leading 2 unprecedented investment& milestones New India envisioned by PM deserves a Rlys which is efficient and modern. I promise that is the path, on which Rlys is progressing now. I am extremely pained by the unfortunate accidents, injuries to passengers and loss of precious lives. It has caused me deep anguish. I met the Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi taking full moral responsibility. Hon’ble PM has asked me to wait.," tweeted the railway minister Suresh Prabhu.

But then, the railway minister is said to have acted superbly over a row of train accidents. He should have right away sent his resignation letter to the PM instead of meeting the honourable PM. According to political observers, the PM is reluctant ministers, themselves, resigning for any cause. In spite of Gujarat's riots long back, Modi didn't resign to his CM post then.

Meanwhile, it's being speculated that Suresh Prabhu would be offered a defence minister post, if his resignation is turned mandatory.
