The much awaited merger of two groups of AIADMK has officially been announced today in Chennai. The CM Palanisamy and former CM O Panneerselvam have made a joint statement today on the merger.
However, the detractors of both the group are alleging that it was a drama being played by both the groups for the past four months to checkmate the domination of Sashikala's group within the party.
This merger, obviously, lead Sashikala to be expelled from the party. It's also being said that the union government has strategically used both EPS and OPS as its pawns to expel Sashikala. As we know, BJP and Rajinikanth are rumoured to be allied for upcoming general elections.
However, senior hero Kamal Haasan breathed fire on the merger of EPS and OPS groups. He tweeted that both the groups made Tamils as jokers keeping a cap on them. Let's wait for more updates on Tamil politics.
