Having essayed lead role in industry hit 'Magadheera' in 2009, Mega Power Star Ram Charan emerged as the first hero of Tollywood to have done warrior role in the new millennium. Post the release of 'Magadheera', it was speculated Ram Charan would do yet another fantasy film. However, the Mega Power Star kept working on commercial entertainers to retain the huge mega fan base thus aimed at continuing the legacy of his father Megastar Chiranjeevi.
In the meanwhile, Mega Producer Allu Aravind's statement on making ancient epic 'Ramayanam' with Rs.500 crores budget created a huge splash among movie folks. Thereafter, fan made posters went on viral on net which had Ram Charan who was seen as lord Rama.
Right now, it's being heard that mega fans are forcing Allu Aravind to rope in Ram Charan as Rama. However, some insiders analysed that the makers might already have decided to choose Ram Charan as Rama and so have announced the project.
Here and there some suggestions to producers are also being heard from some movie patrons who said Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan should be selected for the project. However, Hrithik's latest historical fantasy 'Mohenjo Daro' turned out to be a miserable flop and the hero had been running a lean pace of his career for a long time. All in all, inside reports suggest that Ram Charan would be playing the role of Rama in Ramayanam.
