'Baahubali 2', as we all know, will be releasing on April 28. With just three weeks ahead the release of the film, Bollywood filmmaker and distributor of 'Baahubali', Karan Johar thought of an innovative strategy for the film's promotions. He wanted to re-release 'Baahubali - The Beginning' in 1000 screens across North India. Accordingly, the film hit screens recently.
Reports from trade circles say the film received lukewarm response from audience with very low turnouts recorded everywhere. The movie could manage to collect just Rs.40 lakhs on the day one of its release. Karan had to pay theater rents in many centers.
However, 'Baahubali' release won't affect the prospects of 'Baahubali 2'. 'Baahubali' was already watched by people many times and Bluray prints are also available in the markets to get the film watched in houses. Meanwhile, earth shattering openings are expected for 'Baahubali 2' on 28th of this month.
