‘Mister’ announced to arrive in theaters for second week April is finding the way tough to get right buyers in many areas. Director Srinu Vytla and hero Varun Tej, heroine Lavanya Tripathi are although on an emergency foreign schedule to shoot a song, producers team here in Hyderabad are said to be negotiating with distributors in major locations to clear off the theatrical rights.
Vytla’s poor form, a lengthy and averagely impressed trailer, Varun Tej’s indiscrete market potential and most importantly Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner of Bujji, Tagore Madhu lagging behind with row of flops including fresh debacle ‘Winner’ losing the buyers confidence, all together are giving a lethal blow to ‘Mister’ pre release business.
‘Mister’ is learnt to have made on a budget far above Varun Tej’s trade value as makers clearly went with trust on Srinu Vytla. Holding territory wise theatrical rights till the last hour can turn into a dangerous game but Bujji, Madhu aren’t left with alternative. They are playing with only two options, either to go for an own release or to bargain for one more week (until pre release event) before taking a final call. Whatsoever, ‘Mister’ pre release business prospects are really in doldrums... hope they aren't packaging one more 'Mukunda' for us.
