Confusion on India's Costliest Movie?

2.0 Budget Rs.450 Crores?

It is a a known news that India's top director Shankar's '2.0', the sequel of 'Robo', had been publicized to be made with a whopping budget of Rs.300 crores. On the other hand, another filmmaker of Kollywood, Sundar C, claimed that he would be making India's costliest movie with Rs.400 crores, a never heard price for any film of India.

Interestingly, the makers of '2.0' suddenly disclosed to the media that they would expend a sum of Rs.450 crores on the project by the time of its release. Apparently, they want the film to be credited as the India's costliest movie anyway so as to ensure better pre release business done with their film.

And now, if at all any producer wishes to make a movie which he wants to claim it as the costliest film of India, he has to invest more than Rs.450 crores on the project. It remains to be seen whether Sundar C would make sure his film 'Sanghamitra' crosses '2.0' budget or not.
