They might have various issues to debate or to support. However, when there was a threat to their traditions, they have all united irrespective of politics, religion, caste and creed. This is about the Tamilian's achievement in getting central ordinance for the restoration of Jallikattu, the ancient traditional practice we are talking about.
Well, Tamilian's unity should be an eye opener for AP's people as they appeared to have been deceived by both state and union governments. Ever since the residual state was established, there has been a big demand from Telugu people for the special status of the state. In fact, this was one of the election promises of the BJP sarkar.
Post the charges were assumed by the top brass leadership, the BJP ignored announcing special status to AP. Sadly, the TDP government has also not demanded the special status owing to political gains with the BJP. Pro TDP media too disregarded the issue. At this juncture, people of AP should have been united and could fight for their right of getting special status. Instead, they kept silent. It remains to be seen whether Tamil's unity would inspire them in agitating for special status or not.
