Can We Expect Transparency with Nandi Awards?

Here is a shocking news for Telugu audience across AP. The AP government has decided to revive the Nandi awards which were stooped giving away by then government from 2012. The award committees of Nandi awards faced criticisms for conferring awards to undeserved actors and technicians then. Especially, heights of bias in announcing Nandi awards for 2009 were noticed by the movie buffs.

Having faced humiliating criticisms from all corners, the government has stopped conducting the award ceremonies from 2012. According to the update, the government has decided conduct Nandi awards ceremony for 2012 and 2013 soon.

A committee comprises a team of 13 under Jayasudha's leadership was formed for 2012's awards while Kodi Ramakrishna has been chosen the chairman of awards committee for the year 2013. Siddharth, Ravibabu, Kadambari Kiran, Chandra Siddhartha, Nandini Reddy, Kavitha, Sana and Delhi Rajeswari and others will be acted as the members of the award committees. 

Another committee was also announced for adjudging awards like NTR National Award, Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, Nagireddy Award and BN Reddy Award. TDP's big heads like Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna, Murali Mohan, K Raghavendra Rao and Ramesh Prasad have been appointed in the committee. Although Kodi Ramakrishna and Jayasudha's committees appear to be a bit impressive, suspicions were raised on Balakrishna's committee owing to the political background of the committee members. All in all, every movie lover is hoping Nandi awards should not be humiliated again by the audience and Tollywood's film fraternity due to misjudgement of the awards.
