As far as Nizam area is concerned, Dil Raju is said to be a lucky muscat for the successes of films. As a distributor, Dil Raju's judgement has gone wrong least number of times. Especially, his predictions for big films were proved right most of the times. That's why, many big filmmakers wish to release their films through Dil Raju's distribution.
As we all know, Dil Raju bagged theatrical rights of 'Baahubali' which ultimately turned out to be an industry hit of Tollywood. Strangely, Dil Raju hasn't acquired the rights of 'Baahubali 2' and left it to Asian Films.
As Dil Raju hasn't got the film's rights, some of the buyers from other areas were perplexed with the fate of the film. However, 'Baahubali 2's makers disclosed to the media that they intentionally, kept Dil Raju aside and sold out the film's rights to Asian Films. They cited the reason that Dil Raju hadn't given the details of exact shares collected by Baahubali for Nizam area.
Even then, movie buffs aren't trusting this story. They felt 'Baahubali's makers are aware of every minute aspect of the film, especially its collections. Movie lovers thought Dil Raju himself, was reluctant on the project as theatricals of the film were valued at least Rs.40+ crores, which is really an whopping sum for Dil Raju to be invested. Moreover, he is currently busy producing crazy projects 'DJ', 'Fidha' and 'Shathamanam Bhavathi'.
Incidentally, we have heard various numbers of 'Baahubali 2's selling price for Nizam area. Initially, the makers revealed through official media that the movie was sold out to Rs.45 crores. But then, they reportedly changed the number to Rs.50 crores so as to make it a round figure.
