When Koratala Siva mentioned about ‘Janatha Garage’ as a story written some 8 years ago during the early days of his career stages, everyone thought that he would be directing a film with loads of commercial elements. However, the basic reason why ‘Janatha Garage’ opened to divided reviews is his inconsistent writing and feeble direction. The strong hold Koratala showed in narration as sensed in ‘Srimanthudu, Mirchi’ wasn’t felt in ‘Janatha Garage’ except in well conceived in couple of scenes.
The basic drawback in Koratala is he never picked up new story elements yet made the difference with unparalleled commercial touch. What worked on Prabhas, Mahesh Babu did not ignite the same super hit feelings in Junior NTR. Apparently, ‘Janatha Garage’ moving towards 30 Crores club in less than three days is a safe record but a point to mention is Koratala fell down in his standards as a writer and director which Mahesh Babu should take care of because next from Koratala is with Mahesh.
‘Janatha Garage’ gathered by a monstrous helped NTR to get his position in Tollywood Top 3 openers. This isn’t an achievement for Koratala because he is capable of delivering something much more than this. Hope, he is going to take this as a wakeup call before beginning the pre production preparations for fourth directorial.
